You can only put it on a mat because there is a rug beneath it.

Lol you could always do this.

You just put the rug down with a mat on top of it

then leave it for a few minutes like go to another room

then come back and it usually lets you put whatever you want on the mat.

You could also use rollers (using most furni) if you want to do it with stuff faster.
