Furniture must be 1 month old to recycle, which means you can't recycle something you have just traded. It takes an hour to recycle.

Place 10 Furni items in the Ecotron, you'll receive 20 Game Tickets

Put 20 pieces of Furni into the Ecotron and you'll get a Palm Chair

Drag 30 pieces of recyclable Furni into the Ecotron and you'll score a Water Garden

Recycle 50 furni items with the Ecotron and you'll get a Polar Sofa
