I find it weird how the homosexual community can make a word up for themselves and when people try to use the word for other meanings they get abused.
Gay used to mean happy and merry but now the homosexual community have taken over the word and made it relate to a homosexual (usually male) person.
So it's hardly fair for them to abuse others for using the word negatively and changing the meaning when they changed the meaning too.

Same with the word ***, it use to mean a cigarette but now it's another word for homosexual person.

In reply to both of you, the term was not hijjacked, but manipulated. It meant flamboyant, not happy. And as YOU stereotyped us as camp, we got called gay. Gays didnt steal it, straight people made it..
