LCDS are not crap. I have a 27" LCD plasma && it's so good. It's clear && everything. The picture is good.
Samsung is a good brand though so...

well my dad bought me a 19" tube today (it was free.. so it's cool.. it's not out of my money)
so I guess i've had my decision made for me!

I'm pretty sure LCDs kind of invert, or go dark, if you look at them from a certain angle. I'd have chosen a tube too (for my bedroom at least).

yeah I guess, we have a big 45" plasma in the living room, so I guess getting another "snazzy but small" TV would be a waste of time for my room.
