    I agree, the Hostel movies are just an attempt to make us cringe, but that's like most horror movies I guess.
    I have a theory - foreign movies need more of attention, because you need to read the subtitles, you're engaged more, so obviously you jump when something creepy happens, unlike english films where you can watch but not really pay much attention...If that makes sense.

    I don't really get scared by horror movies, because I was brought up watching them, so this is a hard question for me.
    Night of the Living Dead scared me a bit though, such a good film.
    Thinking about it, the Halloween movies creep me out, not so much the movies, just Michael Myers, his mask :x

    Well it depends on what you think of as scary, gory films like Hostel and saw III may be scary but I think Halloween H20 has to be the scariest film I've seen in a while.
