well i like this girl, ive been friends with her for 5 years but i know theres not a chance in hell she'd go out with me because we've been friends for so long it would seem wierd going out with her.. its really hard to get over it and she knows how i feel. what can i do? any advice appreciated, will +rep helpful comments.

No matter how much someone says they dont like you, etc they might say to there mates they dont like you, but deep down they might just like you, you never know.

if you've been friends that long i'd say leave it.. sometimes when youve been friends it's really awkward & then you split up and end up losing them as a friend aswell.. just stay friends.
