The point is not to get more money, we have enough money to pay for our servers at the moment.
The point is we want to dramatically bring down the number of subforums, as vBulletin warns the performance of the forum goes down when the total amount of (sub)forums is too large.
I think we should keep the large and popular subforums permanently for free though, maybe if the ones that contain a certain number of posts and already existed before we started charging for them.

OOh i wouldn't mess with these guys... heavyweight and not normally complaining.

You know if you bought a TV with a 12month guarantee a guy doesn't appear at the door 6 months later to say yea you can still have the TV but you can't use it unless you pay extra.

Hope Sierk's comments are taken onboard because their are very few active sub-forums and they do deserve some consideration here unlike the majority of people who make one and virtually never post again! Take this one... it seems rather forlorn.
