Well my personal reason is to conquer the world as a giant crab, but the prime reason is to further evolution and the human species by reproducing with a mate who displays good health and whose DNA is dissimilar to mine.

Life is a hell of a lot better than the alternative. As for you people saying "I LOVE MY GIRLFRIEND WITHOUT HER I WOULDN'T LIVE", I doubt you'll kill yourselves when she cheats on you, don't kid yourself.
