Current meaningfull stats towards this goal:
Def: 81
Prayer: 61
Range: 75
HP: 87
So it's pretty obvious i need range level of 80+
Please suggest the quickest way to get 80+ range, what equipment etc.

Is using a cannon at 75 range really worth it?

i'd just pc it. but if you want to train it on something i suggest lessers.

you dont need 80+range, i got to jad on 70 range, its easy up to jad.
