As Garion said, it matters to some extent. If its too small it can bring no pleasure, if its too big, it can be painful. The ideal size is said to be 8 inches, though average for a FULLY DEVELOPED male is 5-6 inches.

In a survey done on the web 80% of girls prefered a bigger penis than a smaller one. I hope size doesn't matter as its suppose to be love and affection.. but anyway I wouldn't vote on this topic and also many girls are different because they might like a smaller penis but normally girls like boys to have bigger penises so... but anyway its up to the girl to decide if they like or not.
