    You use Imageready (photoshop) to slice and Dreamweaver to code, that makes you a noob.

    I use Dreamweaver more than PNotepad. It just saves me time, cutting corners. No way is it n00by.

    I recomend Paint, if your OS is Microsoft. Just to start off. If you start wanting to expand, get a cheap version of photoshop (like photoshop elements) and expand your knowledge on designing.

    For coding, I recomend Notepad, if your OS is Microsoft. If you are finding it too hard to code from scratch, try Macromedia Dreamweaver (there's a 30 day trial on their website) and basically, it has a whole library to help you.

    How is Dreamweaver nooby?

    I use Dreamweaver for coding layouts, makes it much quicker. Like it brings up the IDs / Classes and closes tags.

    If you use the WYSIWYG editor to code a layout you wont get great results, will be messy. Using it to do things you have to do loads of time, saves time.

    Time = Money
