I am creating a News system, MySQL powered. Will have loads of features, I will be mapping the features from the software Cutenews plus other features. It will be MySQL powered

Flat files are slower that MySQL.

Flat files are something I wouldnt like to use as it makes things more complex than MySQL. Exploding everything, having to load a text file just to find small bit of data.

Yes, i would probably convert to a new news system, although if it converted all my data from cutenews i would be much more inclined to.

I may be interested intergrating it within websites I design, if it will be open source. If not, depending on your contracts etc. Saves me time building one if you are going to make it open source!

Well it will be open source but copyright must stay intact on the panel. You will be allowed to edit it as much as you like x]
