Yup, GoldenMerc is infact correct. The core panel will be free but you will be able to purchase addons and other versions that will allow for more or special functionality.

EDIT: As for the scan lines as Sygon refers to them, there are not actually any stripes within the panel itself - I just liked the effect for the promo image
