    Default Best place to start?

    Hi,

    Im not sure how to put this really I want to start learning PHP right from the beginning. Ive been working with it for over a year but I have never actually learned it and would like to so if anyone can post any starting links that would be great!

    Also, are there any template coding tutorials out there?

    I myself (when I started learning) NEVER. EVER. used tutorials.

    The best way I learnt was looking at other people's code and then if you don't understand part of it, then use the PHP.net manual (http://php.net/function_name) and find out about that part of the code (a function or something). Then try to put it to use (the function) in a random script and see if it works.

    I learnt by downloading opensource code, extracting that code and making my own applets. Have a mess around with some variables and that. If youre into tutorials, i recomend www.killerphp.com. I had a look on there a few times to guide me through the process.
