This has been in place for a while, it's not something new :S.

But how well publicised has it been? - obviously the person complaining here didn't know and I didn't and am an a pretty active active user.

Also means most people request it within 3 days thus have never been affected by it .

Well it could also mean that they haven't seen it and still have to realise that they haven't claimed their rep but I take your point. Agree to disagree

3 days is a very short time to claim though. If the ViP takes say 48 hours to set up(if there are problems can be longer) and the member is away for a few days they lose out. 10 days would be much fairer I think.

We usually do add it in that timeframe, situations arise, and we are understanding of that on the part of the user, which is why in extenuating circumstances, Joshuar has stated you can PM him to make your case. There, setting the same standards

And Rosie, as awesome as you are, you can't claim that this is a problem because its been in place for...since before last Christmas, and this is the first time there has been a problem, so it seems that these issues are very few and far between.
