What are your views on 'emos' ?

I can't tell the difference. I hate nearly everyone so yeah, I hate 'em.

i dislike individual people, i don't hate a so called 'group' of people as i don't really judge a bunch of people on how one person acts, or vice versa.

Its not always true. I've known chavs to slit slit.

My friend cut herself, so I called her a stupid cow. She started smoking the other day too, I told her she stinks and that she's a stupid cow. I think it hurt her feelings- oh well she's a silly cow.

There's a small group in our year 10, I keep my distance really. I find them irritating at times but half of the time I can just stay away, then there's no problem.

I know it's not how you meant it, but I hate "individual" people - the sorts who think they're above everyone and somehow great just because they don't label themselves. Even worse is when they actually go out of their way to do something just because it's not something a lot of other people do, it's just sad that people feel they have to be original all the time when there's no such thing as originality.

I find them a waste of space and as bad as chavs. If you slit your writsts or hate your life, get real. Most emos have friends, so what else do you need to get by with? Most emos aren't even emo anyway, they're just scene people thinking they want to be a bit different and try calling themselves emo.

Self harming as a way to cope with problems? Sorry but that is crap!

From experience with my friends, they have self harmed because they felt as if they hurt someone and wished they didn't, they believed that they should pay for their actions therefore they self harmed. It helped them cope, so sorry it's not crap.

I'm not saying that everyone that self harms does it for that reason, but that is the one I have seen happen.

People that do it for attention are just pathetic, also it's not just "Emos" that self harm, I know a few chavs that have for some stupid reason where somebody would insult them and put them down, and then they would self harm.

@people who mention self harming. You have to realise that there is people that don't do it for pure attention, but because it's a way of helping themself cope with problems. I've been there and I never did it for attention. The people that do do it for attention are just idiots.

An even better reason for labelling them as ***** then, eh..
