It's stupid. They should just fight back by pleasing us with new updates to the hotel, instead of removing links/groups even before ClubTropica is opened.

Why does Habbo need to fight back against something that hasn't even opened yet?
Personally, what Sulake are doing is deemed as acceptable in my opinion. Sulake have worked hard over the years to become a reputable company, even though some will disagree about how Sulake operate with perhaps they're excessive prices for credits, and extra services. User's have to realise that they those extra services aren't mandatory to buy, and are optional.
The majority of us enjoy Habbo Hotel, and to see some new community "ClubTropica", come in from no-where and then start advertising it throughout the mediums of Habbo Communities, including fansites such as Habbox Forum's, other fansites and even Habbo Hotel itself is rather preposterous, and unacceptable.
At least with Sulake, they do there market research and advertise through appropriate methods in order to attract new members to Habbo Hotel. ClubTropica are just source stealing, and targeting an existing audience! It shouldn't be tolerated.
You have to give Sulake empathy, imagine you owned a corporate company. You established your company with an image, and had a large capital of say 5million and growing! and had a reputable company, you had investors like pop-stars, and celebrities invest in your company and also advertise them selves in your company image. Then you find incompetent new community such as "ClubTropica" advertising on your ground, through your methods and aiming it through the Habbo community... would you tolerate it? especially if your profits started to be affected, even though Sulake aren't short of capital.
What ClubTropica are doing is unprofessional, I posted in another forum category here at Habbox intentionally registering to post my say about ClubTropica, and how I feel about it. They've even proclaimed that they've got x-Sulake office staff from the offices in London to join.
I have my faith in Sulake as they're well established, and that Habbo Hotel doesn't need to worry about this third party site. ClubTropica are trying to replicate themselves from the means of Habbo, and will most probably have similarities e.g. Credits. Just another money making company, taking advantage of venerable teenagers. This time I'll be keeping my distance.
I've also noticed how members such as Evolution, Impetuous/Callie, and other x-habbo users have formed ClubTropica. If you remember back on habbo when Callie was Hotel Manager, allot of favouritism occurred! Remember how Evolution became Hotel Manager for a week, little coincidence or what? Not really! Think of it logically

All these threads seem to be more about advertising than discussion.

Obviously, before I start insulting your intelligence as you've tried doing towards me. Perhaps you may want to read more indebts, before you read along the lines briefly before insulting using petty terms, and a poor vocabulary . Sites that have invested in a MMORPG Client and Emulator must invest some form of money, either it's for a lingo developer or just a developer in Cold-Fusion, Java, C++ or what ever they've used as they're desired programming language.
That's going to cost, unless they've done everything themselves as a D.I.Y Job, that I highly doubt! Secondly if your planning a large release, exactly how many MMORPG Communities do, same with Sulake's "Habbo Hotel", they plan well in advanced doing market research, schematics, and so forth. Therefore market research and advertisement is the prime key to success to establishment. Even if the site isn't open, you still plan in advanced![]()

I have to say that I agree with The-Macabre-One. What ClubTropica are doing is certainly a little underhand, but it's also very clever. From what I've heard, they have some investors who are giving them the money to start the company off.
As we can see, they're using existing forums for other MMOCCs such as Habbo Hotel to promote their new offering. As you can see around the forum and other forums, there is a quite a lot of hype surrounding it - and this is exactly what they want. They're advertising directly to their market, which is basically young adults who like using isometric chat sites. Forums such as HabboxForum and ClubHabbo are full of such people. Once the investors see how good the response is, they will be keen to invest more money as it will be evident that the market is there - let's face it, the main market is disgrunteled Habbo users at the moment. The extra money will allow for expansion and advertisements in more traditional media, which will give them additional outreach to people who don't use Habbo.
