An Announcement

Hello,
We are writing this post to apologize to all the users and guests who have visited or heard of this forum within the previous 48 hours.

Yesterday from our hosting a mass email was sent out which we were unaware of until it was too late to cancel the email. This email was sent out unintentionally as a mistake by one of our admin team and we apologise unreservedly.

The email was sent from clubhabboforum.net’s hosting using a mass email list program. Previously when clubhabboforum.net has sent out mass emails to its users the mass email program has been used instead of vBulletin. This is purely due to when sending a mass email on vBulletin it sends all the emails at once whereas on the mass email program it sends out emails every so often therefore easing the server load. We used the mail program due to its ability to send out emails at intervals, this meant the hosting server would not get blocked by spam filters such as Hotmail and Gmail. ClubHabbo hosting was used due to the mail program already being present.

We were going to send out a mass email to our currently registered users telling them about what our forum would provide once the main ClubTropica site was released and to give users an understanding of what ClubTropica is (as some users were confused over this matter).

The clubhabboforum mail list was already loaded into the mail program from the previous email sent a few months ago by ClubHabbo. The administrator concerned did not realise that the ClubHabbo mail list had been selected and not the ClubTropicaForum list hence the mass emailing occurred.

Many users of the forum thought that ClubTropicaForum was an official fansite of ClubTropica Ltd. This was not the case. We were and are not an official fansite of ClubTropica Ltd.

We feel it is in our, our users’ and our guests’ best interests that we close the forum down. This is what we therefore have done.

We would like to thank our users for being supportive for the forum and for helping it to grow rapidly.
