It should work normally, but if it doesn't, right click the autorun.exe in the CD/DVD drive and go to properties, then compatibility and tell it to run as Windows XP, so the game thinks Vista is XP.

Yeah I know thats why I said "which downgrades from v2 to v1 patch". Maybe I didn't make that bit clear because reading over it- it doesn't even make sense but I meant I've got a patch in order to play SA-MP so it is v1.
