Why the sudden fascination about peoples post counts? who really cares.. it's not like it means anything.. The forum games keep some members amused, it's something to do.. I find it sad that people have nothing better to do than worry about others post counts.. it means nothing

I don't get why people who have been saying "who cares?" have voted no, surely they'd be voting option 3... but anyway the only argument for allowing forum games to raise post counts seems to be the ever wonderful "why not?", which is hardly developed.

I still think that forum games shouldn't be hidden (as that would effectively mean the threads which people are saying are fun would be lost), but simply changed so that posts do not increase post count, or moved to a subsection of spam for the same effect. If it really is for fun then people will still post.

To you it may mean nothing, to a lot of people however, a post count is basically a basis of how much influence you hold. It's sad that an incremental number can do so much, but it's fact.
