I actually can't see how people can say that maybe the tree didn't make a sound, just because no living thing heard it. Call that narrow mindedness or whatever, but think about it illogically..

Yes, it's impossible for him to be telling the truth.

It comes under the same theory that if you say, look at a chair then turn around and have no sensual evidence that the chair is still there, it may not be. It's not really a strand of philosophy that anyone believes, it's just put out there as something to compare with other existence theories.

Since the chicken vs egg thing doesn't necessarily say chicken egg then it's obviously the egg, other animals laid them way before chickens were around.
If it's specifically chicken egg.. I can't remember what form it is but genetic changes either can't occur in the egg stage or the chicken stage which would mean a slightly different form of a chicken laid an egg that came out as a chicken.

And wouldn't the chicken have come first? If we all evolved from some cell surely the cell would've evolved many times and then the multi celluar organisms that came about would've adapted and one being the chicken adapted so its young came out in a protective layer?
