Can someone actually explain the difference between say Rockstar and Take2 or THQ or Treyarch or Ubisoft
It's troubled me for years!

This gets me confused as well
Rockstar is owned by Take2. So if i'm thinking right, Rockstar are the developers and Take2 are the Publishers, right?
Ubisoft and THQ are publishers, and Treyarch is owned by Activision, So Treyarch is the developer and Activision is the publisher.
I think.

Developers actually make the games and publishers can help fund it and get it out there.
