Here's for all you wip-whiners.

Remember back when the Gallery Cafe was still called Eric's Cafe? I ripped that room apart and made this goofy little alt I called "datacore". It had some computers in it and some "hubs" I guess you'd call them with screens and keypads. I made a new version with new hubs and included one just to fool around until I decide whether I really want it there. Behind the console panel inside the room on the lower floor (hopefully) be one horizontal or three vertical fiber optic and laser data pumps that would theoretically supply a base with its computing capability. The balcony is a rip-out from my very old Half-Life alt.

Thats pretty awesome man! Keep up the great work. One thing I dont like though is the door on the right, the hand scanner or w/e next to it doesn't need to be that big, both sides of the door should be equal.

That's actually not a hand scanner or retina scanner either, go run up an old copy of MGS and look to the right of the elevator door inside the tank hangar. That's where I stole the idea for that panel. It's more of a signal panel and maintenance door where one could theoretically fix wiring or breakers. The light above it is kind of a "now arriving" flasher.

Sure don't. And I'm no good at tutorials. But here's WIP #3.



If you want to know how to get better, the easiest way I know to tell you to learn is to observe how other people do their lighting, shading, and specular effects, that's things like corner highlights and glass detail.

But I think I prefered the entrance computer thingy in the middle like in WIP 2. 9/10. :8
