1. Dead Rising - It's like shaun of the dead on game.

2. Assasins Creed - Supposedly an amazing game, fighting and story!

3. Smackdown versus raw 08 - The announced best wrestling game yet.

4. Call of Duty 4 - The ever challenging gets more challenging!

5. Gears of war (obv) - You can buy this, or wait to see if they will release another GoW, which is ment to have more features but you cant beat the experience.

6. World in conflict - World in Conflict takes place in 1989, in the tense years before the fall of the Soviet Union. Instead of détente and peace, however, the storyline of this game supposes an imaginary World War III, where the Soviet Union and the US get involved in a war, first in Europe, then in America itself. - Gamespot.

assasin's creed looks immense on ps3, so i assume it'll be good on the 360.
i've plyaed CoD4, and its amazing, you should try it out. if you dont like it, you could just trade it in for a new game

Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, The Orange Box, Halo 3, Saints Row (very cheap now) Bioshock, The Darkness, Crackdown, Condemed. Loads more too.

When i got my Xbox 360 i got 4 games with it and i dont regret it either

1. NFS: Pro Street
2. CoD4
3. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas
4. Halo 3

i'll probably be buying 4/5 games for the 360 when i get mine
because i know my mum got me a basic elite package without any games

so what games are best?

best game with out doubt is call of duty 4! cant beat it!!

fifa08 also and maby pgr4 or nfs pro street

and halo 3 i guess but i have gone off halo since cod4 came out

also i forgot.. lost planet its prety ol now but i loved it

Well, these are my top 5..

Halo 3 ( For obvious reasons, online gameplay beats all )
Call Of Duty 4 ( Amazing online, buy it if you've played other COD games )
Fifa 08 Or Pro Evo ( Depends which one you prefer, i prefer fifa personally )
Mass Effect ( Gna be a big hit once people start to buy it, like halo, but just not as good )
NFS Pro Street ( Amazing graphics, much better than PROJECT GOTHAM 4 )

I would reccomend:

Halo 3 - Purely stunning. The multiplayer is the main selling point.
GoW - Again a great shooter
CoD4 - Great single and multiplayer
Skate - It is actually marvelous
Forza2- You can customise you car with anything. It took me 4 hours to create the layers indivually but I made a car with an exact replica of Homer Simpson on the front etc.
