No that's not a spelling mistake on "saliva", it's a legal drug which is supposed to have some pretty powerful (if short-lived) hallucinogenic effects. Saw in the drugs thread that a couple of people have tried it, and although one said it probably wasn't the real deal, I'm quite interested in this and other "mind opening" substances (as opposed to basic party drugs), so if anyone has had experience with it can I get some first hand accounts of it? Cheers in advance, and just so people know there is no need to write stuff like "DRUGS ARE BAD I DONT DO THEM" because that helps no-one.

Also known as Diviner’s Sage or Sally-D, salvia divinorum is extremely intense, say those who have tried it. They say it is as powerful or more so than LSD and produces vivid, often terrifying hallucinations and out-of-body experiences lasting five to 10 minutes. Effects vary widely; a few users report little or no effect.

The effects, or "trip," last up to 10 minutes, tapering off over half an hour, with the nature of the trip dependent on the person’s mind-set and surroundings.

Three years ago, staff Oregonian columnist Margie Boule branded salvia "the most powerful natural hallucinogen known on earth.

Salvia is illegal in Australia, Italy, Denmark, Norway and South Korea. California Rep. Joe Baca in 2002 introduced a bill to ban it in the U.S., but, says erowid.org, it is chemically different from schedule I and II drugs, so it is not covered by the federal law used to ban drugs.

Salvia sounds dodgey, my mate looked up some of the effects it included visiting somewhere i your head and believing it is real and also feeling like your in more than one place at once ha ha

Yeah I've read into it a fair amount, I just wanted to get some testimonials that aren't off a site that's trying to get me to buy it have only heard one bad experience so far (friend of a friend) so reckon I'll give it a go, and don't listen to Alex I'm not black, he's just bitter about being Polish
