i'm from cape town; it's much nicer than london which is very VERY 'slummy' and depressing in many parts of town.
i'll make it very clear to you that south africa, being a former british colony (you'd think that most of you would know this .. majority being from the UK, after all), enjoys high living standards compared with the rest of africa. we speak english in south africa. we own computers and homes and go on to university. granted, i don't live in south africa anymore because i'm attending canadian university for pharmacological toxicology & drug development, but i make many trips to south africa and my hometown on the west coast. oh, and before yelling at me for my london comment, yes, i have been to the united kingdom several times before.
