I'm looking forward to buying my own house, getting married and starting my own family.

I take home £1275 a month but then I pay tax which is about £150 and National Insurance which is about £90. You only pay tax once you've earnt like £5000, before that you don't pay tax. I'm on good money considering I'm only 17 & this is my first job.

Thats like me. I take home roughly $2200 a month. I don't know what I loose to tax. I pay $625 a month in car payments, although now I pay $1100 so I can get it paid off faster. I have roughly $500 in credit card payments each month, and then what ever is left I put into savings. I am 17 and this is my first job.
