That's stupid, because the person you -repped in the first place probably deserved it, and deserves it even more for 'revenge repping.' And why can't he tell people in an announcement or in this thread? Why has the HxF communication skills been so crap?!

Stupid excuse? I did say in the other thread that that sort of attitude will get you no where on this forum. Furthermore, I did not say 'if you -rep someone', -rep is still fine as long as its valid -rep and not pointless.
Anywho, MAD came up with the idea that as a result of issuing pointless reputation, the issuer should have their reputation checked through as well as a way of deterring users from issuing pointless reputation in the first place.
I did ask MAD whether I should inform users or whether there should be an announcement made about this but I was told to carry on with the new system and only raise the new restriction if users complained.

Ignore MAD and make an announcement, people need to know things "/ And stating what management have said will get people somewhere, because at least we now know that there is some barmy reason for people losing rep points when they've not asked for them to be removed.

Making announcements will at least make sure people know what's happening behind the scenes, not everyone cares about how successful an event was.

This is very stupid. I say we (normal forum members) should be allowed to go through all of your reps and remove ones we think are pointless as you lot seem to do it to others without any reason.

I have doubts about this if 10 people all -rep me and i go down to 90 points lets say all my +rep i earned were pointless that would leave me with 0 points. To be honest they should make a thread were only vip's can report people who have pointlessy -rep them and the amount they were pointlessy -reped is taken from there OWN reputaton.
