AFAIK AJAX wouldn't allow you to constantly refresh the content of a shoutbox. That has to be done with an iframe.

This panel seems way to similar to Kristall-Panel RP2, it doesn't have a wow factor and so I don't think many people will be very interested in it. Good luck though.
