But surely we should imprison it?! Killing it is giving it the easy way out. I mean it should be made to suffer for this crime!!!!!!!!! Killing to feed itself? How neanderthal! What kind of animal kills and eats others?

However an Animal kept in (decent) captivity will be fed every day or in a tiger/lions case every few days - It would not need to attack humans, also the enclosure will never be big enough for the animal compared to how much room they have in the wild, the terrain will not be challenging if you live there for however many years. Animals in captivity can not get anywhere near as strong as wild ones, No way that a captive tiger could jump the moat and climb the fence, if it was born and lived free then yes.
It must have been taunted and released by someone in order to get out, they should have tranquillised it then re homed it at a wild reserve.

Roy: [singing] We don't need no education.
Moss: Yes you do; you've just used a double negative
What makes you think it was born in the wild rather than born in captivity? It could be that the enclosure is the only home its ever known. Why are they suprised it attacked people?
People took it from the wild, and shut it in an enclosure. If that was done to a human being, then whoever did it could be arrested, and the victim would probably turn insane. Shooting it was not fair, we dont shoot humans, even though we were here AFTER animals.
