Half Life 2 help

Right i'm inside that tower... The bit with the improved gravity gun etc..

So, i've fought through a load of gaurds, passed the bit with all the energy balls going up and down...

Then i'm in this room which is full of guards so managed to kill them all and do quicksave..

Then i press this button and a load of random huge rings fly up the length of the tower and tonnes of gaurds come in and mow me down!

How do i kill them all? All the doors have those shileds on so i cant get out

You can only use the gravity gun

All the others get confiscated by the "Confiscation Ray"
