Default Need a rule change ... your OPINIONS please.

    Dear Saurav,

You have received an infraction at Habbox UK Forum.

Reason: Accusing/naming anyone of lying/scamming/hacking or any other bad things.
    -------
Please do not accuse people of doing things.
I just got a infraction for the above for this post: http://habboxforum.com/showpost.php?...2&postcount=42

Err the end bit of that infraction is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. So I could get an infraction for this?:

    User: I OWN GOOGLE
me: No you dont, please dont lie

Because I am accusing someone of lieing :S Also "any other bad things" - what about negative feedback?!!? If someone asked for our opinion and I said it wasnt good, I could get an infraction?

MAD just gave me a infraction for that post :S Gosh the arrogant kid really cant take criticism.

    That rule really needs changing.

MAD should infract himself for saying "That post is totally useless to me.". It comes under "other bad things".

I honestly dont care about my infraction, but the rules I have seen over the last few days are stupid. Its as if you cant make a negative comment about anyone.

MAD - please dont move this to the complaints forum as I want other people's opinions.

Edited by ---MAD--- (General Manager): Thread closed. Please report infraction problems here.
I am not appealing against a infraction problem though? I am asking for a rule change and asking the members for their opinions. Stop being a power freak and read the thread properly. You seem to close all threads which criticize you.

it seems you are targetting mad specifically in most of your posts. he does his job. your thread was not needed. you can accuse people of stuff if you have SUFFICIENT evidence against them.

Accusing someone who says they own google of lying is common sence really, and that is the thing that this forum lacks.

You can get away with accusing of 'lying or bad things' to a certain extent , if the person you are accusing of lying is like for the example you posted and is obvious it's a joke/lie then I guess you can get away with it, Where as if you say something like they edited their rep then you are trying to make them look bad and if you did say something like that in the street/in real life you'd probably get punched in the face

Anyway how've you been Saurav ?

I have been infracted even when I make it obvious when I am joking though

I have been told not too long ago that it was likely the "accusing of lying" would be removed from the rule due to it being too harsh however I'm not sure if that has come into place or not yet but I agree that it should, I know it was discussed prior to this thread and I don't give infractions or warnings for that offence at the moment unless it breaks other rules in the post or is rude also. I think we are pending that rule to be changed but I may not be correct, I did bring up the fact this needed to be changed at a meeting not too long ago but it has not come into effect yet as far as I am aware. Also the infraction ---MAD--- gave you was rude and breaks that rule so therefore it is fair. The other comment for saying things like "You don't own good, your lying" as long as it is not rude I wouldn't deem that infraction worthy and I feel that this infraction should be changed to remove the "lying" bit of it however accusing people of lying in a rude way or of things deemed to be "bad" should be kept as it isn't fair that other members can accuse each other of bad things. As for ---MAD---'s post it was not rude and did not accuse you of anything, he wasn't accusing or naming you he was simply explain that post wasn't useful and explained that to make it useful you have to explain and give constructive criticism, that certainly didn't break the rules.

However the other infraction can be looked into as it is quite harsh although at this time the rule still stands.
Thanks for the comment. I dont care I got an infraction but the rules just harsh.

I'll see if there is going to be this change or not, last time I check it was going to come into place but I just don't think it has yet. I do feel the rule needs looking at and rephrasing as it can be quite misleading at the moment and quite hard to pin down who broke it without being harsh. As I've said I did want this rule to be looked at and I'm sure it is being considered and hopefully it will be changed or at least the "lying" part of it will be removed/rephrased.
