    ok, well, i can connect to my ftp using the folder (you know when you enter ftp://ftp.site.com) but i cant using my file editing program. it says cant connect to ftp.site.com but i works on folders. whats the problem?

    where could this actually go (thread)?

    Can you go into more detail. Is the Editor seperate from the ftp client?

    edit: I think I can understand now

    copy the document to 'My documents' Or wherever, edit it, re upload

    dont worry, it doesnt work at all. the only reason it was working in my documents was cos it was changing dns and it must of like done it to my old host.

    If you have firefox use fireFTP its great.

    no ftp is working, my ftp server is down cos its not working on the host.

    Which client are you using for FTP? Make sure it's allowed to access the internet through your firewall.
