Default The change in the banning system.

The new change in the banning system, does this now mean we would be having to have solid proof on complaints and not to be so harsh when complaining against that user or member of staff. I recently created a complaint against the assistant forum manager due to abusing his administrator powers but all I got in response was a perm ban and a good ticking of.

Yes but I have a feeling it was due to that because I posted private reputation comments in the wrong forum.

Maybe best to ask direct Damien. Can I ask are the banning changes in force from the date of the announcement or are they retrospective. Thanks

Usually when a change in policy/rule is added it will be applied to all future complaints from this date forward and won't be retrospective on the current complaint threads or previous complaint threads simply because the policy is new and users did not know about the consequences of not forming a coherent or justified complaint.
However, considering the high number of complaints recently about certain aspects of the forum there is a possibility that previous threads/posts may be looked at for evidence before issuing a ban.

No i woudn't expect a members view to come into consideration in changes to the forum

    Anyway.

It mentions well thought out put together arguments (aka proper arguments) But thats the kind of argument you'd expect from a member thats 16 onwards (not saying anyone under 16 in uncapable just saying that it what is the norm) ...
What about members who just arn't mature yet, after all this forum is a fansite dedicated to a game that aims itself towards immature (younger) members as well... Does this mean younger members who can't put together a complex well thought out argument will be ignored who might have short fuses are going to get banned?
Does this mean the forum is going to be ignoring what has to be over a third of the forums members when it comes to feedback?
