If I'm ever like that I just think 'Ah who cares. No like anyones gonna remember. Lets just get it over and done with.'

its a good thing to think, you will realise this when you are older (i speak from experience)
bare in mind that loads of other people are probably feeling the same as you so theres nothing to worry about !
im sure some people are ok about it, however one girl in my tutor was saying something to my tutor about assemblies and I heard hear saying "...but no one likes to go up..."
hmmm
lol rofl lmao etc..
tbh i was the same as u and as u can see by some of the post's your not alone in the way u feel all u have to do is take a deep breath and just get it over and done with how else do u think ppl beat there fear's? thay tackle them head on and by doing so u gain the curage to be able to do it with out the fear anymore.
i as well like apk. had to stand up in front of my class and read out my essay i had to do for english i took a big beath and got it over and done with it wasnt the best but i didnt focuse on what ppl where doing i just read my essay out yes i got lower marks becuase i didnt read to the class i read to the paper i had written on but atlest i beat my fear and that gave me a better feeling than a grade could ever do.
my advice is just get it over and done with or if u dont wish to do that becuase your not ready yet go to your head teacher and tell them about it and ask that if u get any awards for her to keep them and just pull u to one side when she see's u and give them u.
well actually, i just received an award at a ceremony last sunday. i felt alright about it at first, infact maybe even excited. but as it was about to be my turn, i felt just a slight bit nervous.
but honestly, it's nothing really. just go up there, shake the guy's hand or whatever you have to, take the award, bow and exit the stage. it's such a short moment, it's not that hard to overcome. once you're done with you'll feel very relieved and proud of yourself.
it doesn't feel so bad for me anyway, i enjoy taking part in drama plays and interschool drama competitions, so i'm on stage alot.
pretend no one else is there, or pretend ur not there hide lol.
XX
chew chewing gum, it helps!
Aha that would be a issue at my school as Chewing gum is banned, it doesn't look very good getting an award for doing well and your breaking a rule while your collecting it
I never really had an issue with going up, however I'm not a very confident person at all don't get me wrong. Just go with the flow and be as normal as possible, nothing out of the ordinary, just focus on being normal and look at the floor, when you look up that worries you a little bit more and then you go red, and then you begin to panic etc
If you do have to look-up, do not stare at anyone or look at anyone in their eye's, just browse across the audience paying attention to no one in particular, and that includes the teacher's too.

if no one is laughing or make remarks about others what makes you think there going to do it to you ?
As my old dear used to say "Imagine them naked"
