WEAK ENDING Light was really smart for 36 episodes then got REALLY dumb. He should have wrote down the names before he got there and found out Near's name then when everyone else died. He didn't even deny it or try to outsmart them. This anime ending isn't very well respected for many reasons.

Death Note is a masterpiece I can't believe it's over, I mean it's the only anime that I truly like because it makes sense it's exciting and is very smart, but now it's over, I hope, I beg, I wish there was a sequel for this wonderful anime.

It's because he had managed to cover it up for 6 years then when they finally found him out he couldn't take it. How do you think he's going to talk himself out of it when Mikami wrote down all but his name in the book and Light said 'It's my win'.

Yeah, thats why I like it. It's mature. It's smart. You really have to pay attention. The writer is a genius. I don't think there should be a sequel though.

At the end I was just pee'd too because I'd much rather have Light lose to L then Mello and Near, L did the majority of the work and was about to catch Light though Rem got to him first, I just think the ending was a disaster.

In a way, L did win. Afterall, they were L's successors and they did use what L had already found out. L already thought that Light was Kira anyway.
No one really lost in this anime.

I just hated the way that Light died you know, I'd much rather have two endings to it, there could be an ending A and ending B :x

I need a new anime to watch now, any recommendations?

That will have to keep me busy until the new L movies comes out and gets subbed

Yeah, an alternative ending would have been good. It does feel quite unsatisfying with Light just laying there dead on the stairs.

Yeah or another episode telling us what really happened to Misa and Aiwaza and stuff, It would be good to see Lights funeral too, to see who went and stuff.
We basically know Misa jumped but it's not comfirmed

Nope. In the end of the manga theres like loads of hooded people with candles gathered and then theres like one of them close up who i think is Misa, and she's like "Kira, our savior" and then on the next page it says This concludes the story of the Death Note and yeah its quite creepy lol.
