    Buy him some toys, Lead take him out for walks and get him diet food my cat had it once because it was ill from being over weight.

    Hes better now ack on normal food and we let them out to play, I would say get the toys on like a stick my cats love that.

    You could actually put him on a treadmill, works with dogs better though.
