Nintendo put it on their site, but later removed it. However, CVG managed to take a screenshot before they removed it.

He's unlocked that easily? I would of thought he would be one of the characters that take a bit more effort and time to unlock, like Mewtwo in SSBB!

apparently this news is fake, nintendo put it on as a placeholder but too many people thought it was the real release date so they removed it.

Amazon.co.uk gave me this e-mail a few days ago:
