Using 360 Controller For Pc +Rep

I Just want it to dpo the bascis like opening propgrams ect. But what do I need to install for this to work. i have a both wired and wireless controllers does it matter which one I use?

If your using Vista it'll work, just plug the Wired controller into a USB Slot on your computer and it should pick it automatically and that's it. I think it will do the same on XP but I'm not certain.

I know you can use it to do computer gaming, not sure about opening programs though
