    Local supermarkets and vets have places you can adopt dogs. Some phone books do too. That maybe easier than internet.

    go to the RSPCA they usually have some nice ones , they get all there vaccinations etc.. and they usually come from bad homes where they have been mistreated so you get the nice thought of knowing you did some good
