    its nothing to do with a shower or a hot bath o.O
    its lactic acid in muscles
    you need to get it out before you relax

    Lactic acid causes cramps, not the day-after aches, which can be helped with a hot bath.

    take a bath with salts in it
    and im not sure if what your gym routine is but you shouldnt work all your muscles
    ie; work 1 set of muscles(exp legs) then work another set the next day
