No they won't, you can customise it easy. Look at the facepunch ones, you click the box and it opens up.

What about animations? You could argue you have to sit there watching the .gif - And a lot of the time people do have inappropriate animated .gif's in their signatures and avatars.

I see what you mean in your second point, you could argue that, but the point I'm trying to make, is not to ban everything that could potentially avoid the filter, but instead allow text, images and youtube videos etc, and then Moderator's can remove things that avoid the filter

It will be annoying that we have to watch every video to see if it violates HabboxForum rules though. Not everybody reports things like that. Animates images don't usually take long before they start repeating themselves so it's easier to notice then.

Yeah but you don't go onto Youtube and watch a video that has swearing and say to yourself. "It has swearing, it's violating HxF's rules. I must email Youtube and get it removed!" It don't work like that.. It will still count as 'off' the Forum as it's on Youtube and it won't violate any rules.

That was what I was thinking, but didn't comment because if Jin is the server tech he must know this... but I was wrong!

Looks really good. You have my vote to have this implemented I would suggest it to the council, but it seems we have quite a clear decision.

It's better to keep it on youtube, otherwise if it's embedded onto the forum then it is our responsibilty. That's why we let you post MySpace and images links, as they are off our site and not our problem. I would imagine the same problem for YouTube links.

It's not your responsibility, YouTube own it so if it's malicious or inappropriate content, you know who to contact. Furthermore, http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/7100/mediauh2.jpg

If it is spam, then it;s a not a problem because of that. You suffer less of a risk clicking that than you do clicking a youtube link, because you know the forum is safe. Further still, YouTube videos show a clip before you click play.

    I don't see what's wrong with links.
