If it is spam, then it;s a not a problem because of that. You suffer less of a risk clicking that than you do clicking a youtube link, because you know the forum is safe. Further still, YouTube videos show a clip before you click play.

You'd still have to wait for the video to buffer (not always a problem) but I would imagine it taking a little longer since it's not straight from the youtube page but I donno
Links are perfectly fine, I don't see any reason to have them embedded :S

It'll load just as fast if not faster. YouTube videos work fast on Myspace pages, let alone the page that has been made on the YouTube to carry it.

A good reason for it is that you can talk about the video, and type about it immediately, without have to re-watch it or even remembering what happened in the video. You do not have to open another page etc. etc.
