Change the banner and make it more professional.

The only reason I am getting a .co.nr domain at the minute is because I do not see the need in shelling out money for something that could quite easily ignored and forgotten about. However, if the forum proves successful and I get regular flow of traffic on the forum, only then will I consider shelling out money for a better domain. For now I think the services I have are good enough for what I am aiming for. And just because it's a free domain doesn't mean the content is rubbish, it just means that the owner doesn't have the money to pay for a domain, and maybe people should change from the normal, ignorant selves and give smaller sites/forums a chance."

That is not constructive critisism at all. They were no pointer's no nothing.
The banner's sub title is staying the way it is. I don't see what the problem is with it. Who cares really? If you have ever been on an animating forum, it is usually a laid back commumity.

I agree entirely, people should stop worrying about the domains and give forums who can't afford proper domains a chance.

But the problem is people won't. Like I've said before, people will look at the domain, see that it's being hosted for free somewhere and doesn't have a proper domain and will assume that it's going to be just another site that's not going to have anything good to offer.

I'm not saying that this is the case with your site, but you need to make a good first impression with a site and a free domain will put people right off.

I also think that, like other people have posted, the banner may also put people off a bit. I know you've said it's meant to be a layed back forum but it should still have at least look like it's been set up professionally.

At the moment, I think you are going to have a hard job finding someone to visit your website, and an even harder job making them stay. Like I've said, you need to make a good impression and having a free forum, free hosting, free domain and an unprofessional looking forum will put people off.
