She went to detox, then she went back to alcohol.

People attention seek when they don't like themselves very much and have low self-esteem. You know she has a flaw in that she tell lies but don't we all have faults? Understanding why she does it is probably more important than her doing it. You obviously think a lot of her so try to have a quiet chat about it. She may open up with care and kindness.

changed my life too.
my mums an alcoholic, but she is trying her hardest to give it up.
she told me its a very bad addiction, and if she doesnt drink, she is scared she will 'lose it'.

i dont know how she can say this either, but she loves the taste.

she hasnt got drunk in quite a while now, which is good, shes limiting herself aswell.

talk to your mom about the alcohol, tell her its effecting you, and that if she continues to do it, well, she could wreck her life, more so.

she doesnt neccersarilly have to go into detox, my mum goes to a group where they just talk and help each other out. so maybe your mum could do that? its worth a try.
