COD4 - Best Weapons?

What's the best weapon set to have? I want to know a weapon that is capable of getting people at a long distance, awesome at shooting at small distance's and one which is good at mid-distance. I use my M4 Carbine to do most of this, but it's not quite quick enough at short distance.

Include useful perk's with guns if you want.

I use Ak with red dot sight, and any perks really, especially the one that increases accuracy with out scope.

If you have overkill perk you can always carry a sniper and your best close range gun?

Would you say it's worth surrendering the UAV Jammer perk? I've always been a fan of it as people are often surprised by you jumping out at them?

Depends what weapon imo.
I like using it as a sniper so you dont give away your position

I use MP5 Silenced with UAV Jammer and dead silence. Noone can tell where you are or when you're coming , disadvantage is that you cant shoot at people from long distance.

Thats why you use the overkill perk and carry a sniper aswell
