    Default Cameron breaks traffic laws

The Tory leader was photographed by the Daily Mirror as he cycled to Westminster.

During the journey he was spotted riding the wrong way up a one-way street, going the wrong way round a "Keep left" bollard, crossing the white line at a red traffic light, and riding across a toucan crossing for cyclists and pedestrians while the signal was red.

According to the paper, the incursions all occurred within the space of a 30-minute bike ride from his home in Notting Hill, west London, to the House of Commons.

Mr Cameron, who has made much of his enthusiasm for cycling to underscore his "green" credentials, has apologised.

In a statement, he said: "I know it is important to obey traffic laws - but I have obviously made mistakes on this occasion and I am sorry."

Kevin Clinton, head of road safety for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), criticised Mr Cameron for his "disappointing" behaviour.

He said: "It is essential that all road users, including cyclists, obey traffic laws. The laws are there for everybody's safety and, as always, it is disappointing when someone in the public eye sets a bad example."

Are you obsessed with the Iraq war? Seriously you need to get a grip  Even though I don't support the Tories, he is the best thing that has happened to them since '97

Due to him being more to the left? Yeah well you would say that. The Iraq War killed tens of thousands so I can be angry over it as I wouldn't say it's not an issue would you? I could name a whole lot of things the Labour Government has done worse than David Cameron driving his bike wrong.

Hahaha. Oh well, not a big deal for any random person of the public but I suppose he is supposed to be setting an example.

Well it was obviously a good move. The Tories were stuck in the past, which is why they have not been able to win an election for 10 years. Since Cameron came in, they look set to win the next election - he must be doing something right.

I like how you called terrorists innocent...

Tories weren't stuck in the past. Michael Howard gained more votes in the last General Election than Tony Blair still won. It just shows how wrong our political system is. If you hadn't noticed ever since left wingers began seeping into the countries political system and gaining more power whether it's from brussels or westminister the country has got worse. Oh and there were no terrorists in Iraq, well not until we invaded and disbanded the police, border guard and pretty much the whole structure of Iraq.

Hmm there are fatal flaws in the system in Iraq. I dont suppose anyone saw that film the other night, Battle for Haditha? All about US Marines in Iraq and when one of their soldiers die they kill near to everyone is the immediate area. 24 people I think. It was based on a true story.
