Possible processor upgrade

I have a Dell Dimension E520 with a pentium D 2.8GHz processor. I wanted to know what processors could my mobo handle? Please don't say 'look on google' or give me a like to google because I have tried but I don't really understand that kind of stuff so it makes no sense to me

As far as im aware, Dell used the BTX motherboards in them computers, so i don't think alot work with it as BTX failed.

I am not sure what the mobo would be, however you might aswell upgrade your whole system, to a:

Quad Core
4GB RAM
250GB HDD (Which you already have)
Asus Mobo
Nvidia GeForce 8000 and upwards graphics card
Gaming Case

Why spend £125 getting a Core 2 Duo for your current computer, when you can spent £500 on a total system. Its not just about upgrading the processor, you then have to look at the Mobo, cooling, sizes, PSU etc.

I reccomend upgrading your whole system. Here is a little guidence...

My current ones really slow

Specs are:
Intel pentium D 2.8GHz
3GB DDR2 RAM (originaly came with 1gb)
Came with onboard graphics but I upgraded my graphics card
