I highly doubt you did over 270km/h in your family car. I know for a fact that the speedometer my car & my moms car goes up to 160mph, and the limit is just below that, so you can't actually reach 160mph. I did around 105mph once to pass somebody, but other than that I usually keep it around 70 or 80 depending on the traffic level.

I looked at the 745i out in the garage and it only goes up to 160 aswell, and that's a v8.
