Awards?

Someone should have an awards again, I enjoy those .

The 56ers awards thingy was back in the winter, there should be spring awards.

Instead of having awards, I could organize a monthly design contest I guess. Kind of an award each month with participating designs within that month if you get me. If you think it's a good/bad idea, let me know.

Design Contest:

The designers have to design something for a script that the PHP content will be on

Coding Contest:

The coding people have to code the template the design contest winner has made

PHP Contest:

The PHP have to make a thing (that the designers have designed) and the winner of the coding contest template is used

Then out of that we get 3 winners and a new script hxf can use

Maybe expand it, if you made a CMS in the PHP contest,
You have to edit it somehow with AJAX. etc

I'd be up for that. I suppose it would give people work for their portfolio every month, with a different theme to each piece.

I would do this if it was to my interests and not stupid.

Every month, I don't think people'd be able to roll one out and:

Design - easy
coding - easier
php - rock hard..

Tieing in with Blob's idea: you could scrap the awards idea and tend to focus on monthly development. So a group of each section (designers, coders etc) are given an idea e.g. a radio panel and they then work together to produce that script. Once the designers and coders are finished, they then could pass it onto the PHP coders to code the inner-workings.
